Hello friends. It’s been a bit of a rough day. As you know, I’m packing up things, getting ready for my move back up to the Northeast. I’m in South Florida right now, and I must say, a part of me is sad I’m leaving.

From Florida to Massachusetts
When I came down here, it was supposed to be for a short time. Now, almost 10 years later, I still find myself living in a condo on the beach… but not for long. I’m moving back up to Massachusetts in the next couple of weeks.

Family is Everything
Even though I feel sad that I’m going to leave the tropical climate behind, there is one thing that New England has that Florida does not—my family. I can’t wait to live near them again. And even though I’m not looking forward to trading gorgeous weather for the colder climates, I have to admit, the Northeast is quite beautiful as well.
Accumulating Junk
So why did I have a rough day? Because I’m throwing out a lot of the junk I’m not going to take with me. You know what I’m talking about. The junk that we all seem to accumulate rather than throwing out, even though we know we’ll never use it again.
Today, I went through stuff I hadn’t looked at in years. Needless to say, I was covered in dust by mid-morning, but I got a lot done. Most of the trash is in garbage bags, sitting in my living room, ready to be thrown out.
Pillows, Pillows, and More Pillows
Unfortunately, a lot of it is too big to stuff down the garbage chute, so I’ll have to carry it down to the huge bin in the garage tomorrow morning. Ah, the joys of moving. I just have one question. Why do I have so many pillows? Every time I bought a new set, I must have shoved the old pillows on a shelf in the storeroom. Never doin’ that again!!!
